Seattle Seahawks star running back Marshawn Lynch is daring the NFL to fine him by wearing bright gold cleats ahead of tonight’s Super Bowl 49 game against the New England Patriots.

Marshawn Lynch and the NFL haven’t been on very good terms so far this season, and it appears that Lynch isn’t looking to make any friends today either. Ahead of Super Bowl 49 against the New England Patriots, Lynch was seen wearing bright gold cleats. The NFL has previously told Lynch that he is not allowed to wear gold cleats.

Not only has Lynch gotten fined already this season multiple times for his actions on the field, he has also been an absolute disaster for the media. Whether it is not showing up for interviews or simply repeating the same word over and over again for every question, the NFL has not been happy with the way that he has conducted himself.

It is going to be very intriguing to see whether or not Lynch decides to try to wear these cleats in the game or whether he chooses to change out of them prior to kickoff.

Either way, this is still just daring the NFL to hand down yet another fine on his head. It has become a bit of an annoying situation between Lynch and the NFL, and he doesn’t seem willing to change.

All of that being said, Lynch was one of the NFL’s most dominant running backs throughout the season to get to this point. He had a very good regular season and has been a workhorse for the Seahawks throughout their first two playoff games. Without him, they would have had no chance at playing for their second straight championship.

Lynch compiled 1,306 yards and 13 touchdowns on 280 carries this past season, and made it look easy. During the two playoff games that he has played in this year, Lynch has run for 216 yards and a touchdown on 39 attempts.

Don’t expect Lynch to change anytime soon, if he ever does. The NFL is going to continue getting more harsh with him as he continues disobeying the rules that they have laid out for him. Seattle needs him on the field and in “Beast Mode” tonight against New England to come away with their second straight title.

He may be one of the worst players in the NFL as far as antics are concerned, but he is one heck of a football player and will have yet another chance to star on the biggest stage.
