Brandon Jennings criticizes LeBron James for running away
By Evan Massey
Detroit Pistons point guard Brandon Jennings criticized Cleveland Cavaliers superstar LeBron James for running away from tough situations throughout his career.
Brandon Jennings has been ruled out for the remainder of the regular season due to a torn Achilles, but finally showed some major potential after the Detroit Pistons chose to cut Josh Smith. He was allowed to play his game and it paid off in a big way before the unfortunate injury.
LeBron James decided to make his return home to the Cleveland Cavaliers this past offseason after four seasons with the Miami Heat, and Jennings criticized him for running away from tough times.
"@JohnnyNBA he run too much when shit gets tough. Never just stuck it out. Like MJ. Magic. Bird. Kobe. — BRANDON JENNINGS (@BrandonJennings) February 3, 2015"
Those are some strong words from Jennings, but everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Whether James truly did run from tough situations in Cleveland and Miami, he still has caused quite a bit of unrest around the NBA. He did leave Miami in a bad situation, and it came at a bad time after a blowout NBA Finals loss.

Returning to Cleveland was bound to happen at some point in his career. His heart remained with the Cavaliers and he always planned to return, but he made a decision that was in his best interests to join the Heat. It paid off in the form of two championships.
Everyone will have different opinions of James, and he is one of the most hated athletes in the wide world of sports. He is also one of the most loved athletes as well, which has caused a major split among sports fans.
All of that being said, there are quite a few that have taken offense to James leaving town from both the Cavaliers and Heat fan bases. He has done so at the worst times for the franchises, and especially in the case of Cleveland was hated for it. James is likely done leaving town, especially after the promises that he made to the Cavaliers’ fans this past offseason after choosing to return.
It is going to be interesting to see how the next year or two goes in Cleveland, and how he takes it if they don’t win a championship. There have already been fans talking about whether or not he would consider leaving, but it is impossible to predict what is going through his head.
Either way, Jennings took a shot at James and quite a few people may very well agree with him.
