A female juror has been dismissed from the Aaron Hernandez trial after it was discovered she was a New England Patriots fan.

A juror in the Aaron Hernandez trial has been dropped after she lied about being a fan of the New England Patriots, according to Dan Wetzel of Yahoo! Sports.

"A Hernandez juror has bee dismissed for attending more Patriots games than revealed on questionnaire. Hot take: Even fans cheat! — Dan Wetzel (@DanWetzel) February 3, 2015"

The Boston Globe is also reporting the juror attended more Patriots games than she originally specified and had wanted to serve as a juror on the trial.

There’s also “strong evidence” the juror also had talked about the case and had already come to the conclusion that there was not enough evidence to convict Hernandez without a murder weapon, according to the report from the Boston Globe.

The former New England Patriots tight end is on trial for the murder of Odin Lloyd.

Lloyd was found in an industrial park only one mile from Hernandez’s home in North Attleborough, Massachussets.

Hernandez has pleaded not guilty to the charges.

According to The Boston Globe, Hernandez could also be indicted on a double-murder charge from 2012, and he will likely stand trial after this trial is finished.
