There will be plenty of turnover on the Patriots roster, and that’s something that Belichick has dealt with on an every year basis. It’s often as high as 30 percent – 15 players or more – who leave the team in the offseason and are replaced by new talent.

But if the Pats are going to remain at the top, they need to make sure that their most essential free agents don’t leave.

Given the salary-cap issues it won’t be easy, but Belichick & Co. always find a way to remain at or near the top, and there’s no reason to think it will change this year.

Keeping Revis around is essential and while the players enjoy their championship parade on the Duck Boats, conversations with the stellar cornerback must take place shortly.
