1. The Atlanta Hawks will beat the Golden State Warriors on Friday night

As I mentioned, I think this game is going to be really close, but ultimately, the home team is going to pull this game out.

Although Atlanta’s hot streak has cooled off a little bit, the Hawks have been playing better than the Warriors lately.

Golden State dropped back-to-back games to the Jazz and Bulls, but then rebounded for three straight wins against Phoenix, Dallas, and Sacramento. If not for Curry’s breakout third quarter against Dallas, the Warriors probably would have lost that game also.

Atlanta, on the other hand, has one poor game in the last month, basically, at New Orleans on Monday before they rebounded with a huge win over the Washington Wizards.

To me, these two teams are very similar, although I think Golden State is the better overall team. The Warriors have more talented players, better defenders, and a slightly deeper roster.

However, I really don’t like picking West Coast teams starting an East Coast road trip. There’s too many extenuating circumstances to factor in for the Warriors.

Golden State is the better team, but Atlanta’s going to get them in this game, 104-101.
