NFL QB Rankings: Top 10 signal-callers of 2014
By Will Osgood
1. Aaron Rodgers, Green Bay Packers
Aaron Rodgers won the 2014 NFL MVP despite only being the third most valuable player to his team in 2014. Whatever, I’m not bitter. The point is that he should have won the Offensive Player of the Year award and ceded MVP to J.J. Watt.
That said, Rodgers was outstanding. He threw only five interceptions all season on 520 pass attempts. Not even Alex Smith could match that sub-1.0 percent interception rate. It is true, too, that Rodgers, like Luck and Wilson on this list, adds another element defenses have to be weary of: his ability to make plays with his feet.
Rodgers led the league, not surprisingly, in adjusted yards per attempt, net yards per attempt and adjusted net yards per attempt.
He also rushed for 269 yards and two touchdowns in his MVP season.
