Oakland Raiders: 7-Round Mock Draft
By Ryan Ratty
Round 3: WR Rashad Greene
Perhaps the biggest need on this Raiders roster is at the wide receiver position. While the Raiders could very well take a guy like Amari Cooper or Kevin White early in the first round, they would be wise to sit and wait for a productive player to fall. One receiver that could fall is Rashad Greene. Even though Greene had one of the most prolific careers for a Florida State wide receiver, he has some problems that will likely deflate his draft stock. Greene is barely 6-foot-1 and he weighs just over 180 pounds. Greene is also projected to run a mediocre 40-time.
Despite these problems, it’s hard to criticize a guy that has caught 270 passes, received over 3,800 yards, and brought in 29 touchdowns. Besides his size, Greene has great hands and he does an excellent job in terms of his route-running ability. With Greene, the Raiders are getting a kid who is smart enough to play big minutes early in his career. Greene has a ton of upside and he would give Carr a young weapon to work with.
