Oakland Raiders: 7-Round Mock Draft
By Ryan Ratty
Round 7: WR Kenny Bell
In the seventh round, teams are virtually throwing darts blindfolded at a dartboard in hopes of getting a bullseye. Sure many seventh-round picks have turned out to be studs in the NFL. Oakland’s biggest need is at the wide receiver position and although they drafted Rashad Greene earlier in the draft, the Raiders would be wise to add another receiver late in the draft and a guy that makes a lot of sense is Nebraska’s Kenny Bell.
For starters, Bell is coming from an excellent program and his size is something scouts love. At 6-foot-2, 190 pounds, Bell has great height and while he doesn’t have the best weight, the reality is that with an NFL conditioning program as well as an NFL weight room, Bell will have the ability to put on significant weight. He has good work ethic, he makes plays at the highest point, and he is a proven blocker. In the last round of the draft, the Raiders could benefit greatly by taking a flyer on a player like Bell.
