Round 3: WR Justin Hardy

Now that the Jets have their quarterback in place, it’s now time to build an offense around him. Sure Eric Decker and Jeremy Kerley are solid options, but the Jets need to bring in another guy who can make a difference and a guy that makes sense at the top of the third round is Justin Hardy. At 6-feet, 196 pounds, Hardy doesn’t have ideal size for an NFL receiver, but he plays much better than he measures. Hardy has wide shoulders and he has excellent athleticism.

With Mariota running the offense, I don’t expect the Jets to be a deep-ball team. However, they’re likely going to be an offense that deploys a ton of intermediate routes. Hardy has excellent route-running ability. His speed and quickness out of his cuts will be a great use to Mariota. This rookie combination is one that could take the NFL by storm if everything pans out. In the third round, the Jets won’t get a better value than Hardy and that doesn’t mean he won’t be a stud.
