Pau and Marc Gasol were popular kids in Spain as well

Pau and Marc Gasol have been two of the most dominant big men in the NBA since they each entered the league.

Pau Gasol, of course, is known for his time as a member of the Memphis Grizzlies and also the Los Angeles Lakers where he won two NBA Championships. He is currently a member of the Chicago Bulls where he has been a huge addition to their front court and the Bulls are one of the favorites to represent the Eastern Conference in the NBA Finals this season.

Marc Gasol, whose rights were traded from the Lakers to the Grizzlies in the trade for his brother, has been one of the best centers in basketball and has helped turned the Grizzlies into a contender and one of the most physical teams in basketball.

Before the two brothers even made it to the NBA, they were both rising prospects in their native Spain.

In fact, as kids they were featured on the cover of Más Deporte, the sports section of El Periodico in Spain.

The brothers — even when young — looked like they were on their way to being giants, as Pau towered over Marc. Marc was the more muscular and stout of the two, much like he is today.

Tonight the two brothers square off against each other in the 2015 NBA All-Star Game when Pau will be representing the Bulls for the East and Marc representing the Grizzlies for the West. It will be interesting to see how competitive the two are against each other when the game is tipped off.
