3. Miguel Gonzalez

2014 Stats: 26 games started, 16 quality starts. 10-9, 3.23 ERA, 1.30 WHIP.
159.0 IP, 111 K, 6.28 K/9, 2.18 SO/BB ratio.

2015 Fantasy Outlook: In many ways, Gonzalez is similar to Chen and Tillman in that he keeps in team in the games and limits damage while not picking up quite enough strikeouts to make him a fantasy factor to hold on your roster.

Like with Chen, Gonzalez can be useful as a bargain option in daily league fantasy baseball and as a streaming option in a good matchup, but he doesn’t merit a consistent roster spot all season in standard mixed-leagues.  Gonzalez  is another steady but unspectacular option that gives Baltimore its amazing depth but doesn’t offer much to excite fantasy owners on a regular basis.

If you are trying to predict when to stream Gonzalez or use him in daily leagues, his splits are fairly even overall, although like the entire Orioles staff he was much better in the second half (6-4, 2.19 ERA) than the first half (4-5, 4.04 ERA) last year. Gonzalez was good against AL East foes from Boston (1-1, 1.80 ERA) and Toronto (2-0, 1.62 ERA) but struggled against the Yankees (0-1, 3.60 ERA) and Rays (2-0, 4,30 ERA).
