Round 4 Pick 126: Ronald Darby Cornerback (Florida St.)

With Tramon Williams turning 32 next month, the Packers are in need of a fresh cornerback. Ronald Darby of Florida State is as fast as he is patient, blazing a 4.32 40-yard time that makes him speedier than Seahawks’ Richard Sherman.

Scouts have raised some eyebrows over his height, but at 5 feet 11 inches, he’s as tall as Williams, who proved to be a key asset in Green Bay’s lineup. Darby boasts awareness in coverage and can shield against deep threats, not to mention his acute hand-eye coordination to swat balls like flies. A standout at Florida State, this player could be the next step forward in the green-and-yellow cornerback future.
