The Kentucky Wildcats moved to 30-0 Tuesday night with a comeback win over Georgia

Coming  into the month of March, it really seemed like the Kentucky Wildcats were going to do the impossible and head off into tournament season undefeated. Tuesday night’s match up against the Georgia Bulldogs, who were 0-15 all-time against No. 1 ranked teams, didn’t seem to pose much of a threat to that pursuit of regular season perfection.

Well, Georgia almost pulled off the stunner of the year on their home court in Athens, however they weren’t able to hold off the powerful Wildcats in the end. Kentucky is now 30-0 on the season after their 72-64 comeback win.

Georgia went toe-to-toe with the best team in the country for basically all 40 minutes in this one, even tying things up at 32 going into the half after a running buzzer beater from Nemanja Djurisic. People at that point were really starting to feel an upset could be in the making.

The Bulldogs then came out in the second half and showed no signs of backing down, even taking a 50-43 lead following this J.J. Frazier three-pointer that was basically shot from Atlanta.

If people in Athens were feeling it going into the half, they were really feeling it after that shot. The fans in attendance were ready.

But, as has been the case a couple times this year already, Kentucky was able to storm back and keep their perfect record intact.

And it was the usual suspects stepping up and leading the charge down the stretch for the Wildcats, such as Aaron Harrison.

From that point, Kentucky got their act together in the paint, the place they were struggling from for most of the game, and Georgia was not able to convert some shots down the stretch to complete the epic upset.

Tuesday night with the Kentucky win, we got one step closer to history with the Wildcats moving to 30-0 on the year.
