The veteran point guard’s next destination will be in Los Angeles with the Clippers

Nate Robinson has a new home. After being waived by the Boston Celtics after a trade with the Denver Nuggets, Robinson will reportedly sign a 10-day contract with the Los Angeles Clippers.

More from Los Angeles Clippers

This season, Robinson is averaging a career low 5.8 points per game to go with 2.3 assists.

Robinson was seen at the Clippers practice squad Saturday and it is believed he will take the court against the Golden State Warriors Sunday.

Robinson has averaged 11.1 points per game over his nine-year career and brings another veteran presence to the Los Angeles Clippers.

The Clippers, currently slotted in the fifth seed in the Western Conference, are two games behind the fourth seed Houston Rockets, and if those two teams end up meeting in the first round, both will want home court advantage.

Robinson has bounced around the league for the better part of his career with stops in Denver, Boston, New York, Chicago, Oklahoma City, Golden State and now Los Angeles.

The addition of Robinson makes sense for Los Angeles as they need a point guard behind Chris Paul. The team has been missing former point guard Darren Collison, who left as a free agent for Sacramento in free agency.

The void that has been left for the backup point guard position has been a bit of a frustration for the Clippers. Robinson now has a shot to prove to the Clippers during his 10 days that he can fill the void Collison left and be a serviceable backup off the bench and perhaps earn himself a longer contract in the off-season.
