Rahim Moore, S (Denver Broncos)

2014 cap hit: $1.4 million

Most folks will remember Rahim Moore for one infamous misplay in the 2012 divisional round playoffs, when within the last minute against the Baltimore Ravens he allowed Jacoby Jones to get behind him for a deep touchdown.

But that play is an entirely inaccurate depiction of Rahim Moore as a player. He is a rangy safety who excels in coverage deep down the field, providing support from sideline to sideline while freeing strong safeties to roam wild down the field.

In Jack Del Rio’s defense in Denver, Rahim Moore was poorly utilized, positioned much closer to the line of scrimmage and too far away from deeper plays. His slender frame makes him a below-average tackler, in particular by the line of scrimmage. If he is used correctly, he won’t be put closer to the line and he will be able to transform a poor secondary into an excellent one.

2015 Home: Chicago Bears

The Bears have needs all over their defense, and shoring up the secondary will go a long way towards erasing the memory of Chris Conte.
