Owen Daniels, TE (Baltimore Ravens)

6’3”, 245 lbs
2014 statistics: 48 receptions, 527 yards, 4 touchdowns
2014 cap hit: $1 million

The big concern with Owen Daniels was his injury history. As a member of the Texans in 2013, Daniels suffered a leg injury that removed him for 11 games. The Baltimore Ravens brought him on as insurance for Dennis Pitta, and it was insurance they needed as Pitta suffered a dramatic fractured and dislocated hip.

In relief of Pitta, Daniels proved to be a reliable target for Joe Flacco, somewhat resembling the Pro Bowl form he displayed on the Texans before his injury. Daniels’ ability to stretch the field prove to be invaluable for the Ravens, and would provide a suitor with a cheap option who has the ability to perform as a starting tight end.

He can also dance.

Owen Daniels may end up returning to the Ravens as the team looks to add a young player at tight end in the draft (Michigan’s Devin Funchess?)

2015 Home: Seattle Seahawks

Giving Russell Wilson a dependable, cheap target would draw attention away from Marshawn Lynch and allow the Seahawks to extend their quarterback
