Dale Hansen rips Dallas Cowboys for signing Greg Hardy
By Mike Dyce
Dallas area sports caster Dale Hansen lays into the Dallas Cowboys for signing Greg Hardy.
WFAA announcer Dale Hansen isn’t afraid to let it all hang out and say what needs to be said. He isn’t worried about hurting anyone’s feelings and burning bridges with professional sports teams in the area.
He cares about the right things and holding people accountable.
Which is why he set his sights on the Dallas Cowboys last night, who recently signed former Carolina Panthers defensive lineman Greg Hardy.
Hardy of course barely saw the field last season after dealing with the legal fall out from a domestic violence charge. He was originally convicted but appealed and it was overturned when the woman who testified originally that he strangled and threatened to kill her didn’t show up.
Make your own judgement about why she didn’t show up for the appeal.
So Hansen calls out the Cowboys for signing a player that the rest of the league was afraid to touch because he can help them win on the field. He calls into question Dallas long-standing policy of giving players who don’t deserve it a second chance, like Josh Brent who killed a teammate in a drunk driving accident, or back up running back Joseph Randle who shoplifted a department store and the list goes on and on.
“Hardy’s jersey is being sold at the Cowboys online pro shop now. You could get one for your sister or daughter, and then explain to her that ‘Hardy beat up women, but we’re cheering him now because he’s really good on game day, and game day is all that really matters to me.’ Your daughter will understand.
“But the reality is, if Hardy knocks on your front door to take your daughter out for a night on the town, the man you cheer now, you would shoot his ass through the glass.”
