Indianapolis Colts

  • 2014 Finish: 11-5, 1st in AFC South, Lost in AFC Championship
  • Top Positional Need: Safety

Signing veterans such as Andre Johnson, Frank Gore and Trent Cole is exactly what Ryan Grigson and the Colts shouldn’t have done.

Andrew Luck is so good that he masks so many personnel holes.

Colts Safeties:

  1. Mike Adams
  2. Delano Howell
  3. Colt Anderson
  4. Dewey McDonald
  5. Winston Guy

Despite the name of Anthony Costanzo, the Colts offensive line is not solid enough to yet move on to veteran signings.

The Colts current offseason is a classic example of the front office getting a little too ahead of itself. Rather, they should continue with development and further stabilize the offensive line and the interior of that Chuck Pagao led 3-4 defensive front.

Nevertheless, safety has to be their top hole on paper.

Mike Adams enjoyed a great season in 2014 with Indy as he stamped his first career Pro Bowl appearance (5 interceptions, 77 tackles). Losing LaRon Landry has created a huge void at the other safety spot.
