Oakland Raiders

  • 2014 Finish: 3-13, 4th in AFC West
  • Top Positional Need: Cornerback

Where in the world do we begin with the Oakland Raiders?

It’s a loaded question no doubt, but one general manager Reggie McKenzie must be asking himself each morning as he rises for the day.

Raiders Cornerbacks:

  1. D.J. Hayden
  2. Travis Carrie
  3. Keith McGill
  4. James Dockery
  5. Neiko Thorpe
  6. Taiwan Jones

Honestly, you could flip a coin to decide Oakland’s top positional need. Wide receiver, offensive line, defensive line and even safety are all in the running.

Regardless of the coin, cornerback will suffice as the most glaring choice.

D.J. Hayden represents the only guy who can claim starter status in this league. Travis Carrie is a soon to be second-year pro who was drafted in the seventh-round. Help is badly needed.

Michigan State’s Trae Waynes would be a golden ticket for the Raiders secondary, but knowing Mark Davis is the son of Al Davis, the flash of a receiver will be too much to avoid in the No. 4 spot of the draft.

Amari Cooper or Kevin White should be wearing silver and black by the time the summer rolls around.

Why not? They can use some receiver help too.
