Denver Broncos

  • 2014 Finish: 12-4, 1st in AFC West
  • Top Positional Need: Right Tackle

The Denver Broncos top positional need comes as very specific: right offensive tackle.

The reason? Gary Kubiak’s offensive system.

Broncos Right Tackles:

  1. Chris Clark
  2. Paul Cornick
  3. Michael Schofield

Another reason Denver’s need is so specific as opposed to other teams on this list is because they truly don’t field a lot of holes.

A depth inside linebacker or another interior defensive lineman could be used as well. Quarterback will obviously also be another spot if John Elway and company don’t have faith in Brock Osweiler after the season.

The guy who will play opposite Ryan Clady on that line is the prime suspect heading into the draft.

Kubiak’s zone running and playaction off of the zone movements forces his tackles to be just as athletic in space as they are pass protectors. Clady could pull it off on the left side. Chris Clark will not be able to on the right.

Guard will also be a hot topic making sure Peyton Manning makes it through the entire season unscaved.
