Washington Redskins

  • 2014 Finish: 4-12, 4th in NFC East
  • Top Positional Need: Edge Rusher

New Washington Redskins general manager Scot McCloughan has a tough chore in front of him.

He first needs to navigate through the very delicate situation that is Robert Griffin III. Then, he needs to decide which position to build upon, creating a new identity of this personnel grouping.

Redskins Edge Rushers:

  1. Ryan Kerrigan
  2. Gabe Miller
  3. Trevardo Williams
  4. Trent Murphy
  5. Ricky Sapp
  6. Jackson Jeffcoat

The departure of three-time Pro Bowler Brian Orakpo means Ryan Kerrigan is now all by himself.

40 sacks over the past six seasons isn’t easy to replace. Then again, Orakpo has fallen into that horrid category of injury prone guy missing 24 games over the past three seasons.

Much the like the Jets, who pick one spot after them, they’ll be looking to Vic Beasley or Shane Ray for that edge help.

The other critical spot the Skins need help at is safety. Duke Ihenacho and Trenton Robinson currently slated as the starters is extremely worrisome.
