Dallas Cowboys

  • 2014 Finish: 12-4, 1st in NFC East, Lost in Divisional
  • Top Positional Need: Cornerback

We finally get to the team that has brought back the cravings to have a dominating offensive line.

Of course the NFL has never faded from the feeling a dominant five man group upfront is crucial, but the 2014 Dallas Cowboys renewed everybody’s faith in this old-school philosophy.

Cowboys Cornerbacks:

  1. Orlando Scandrick
  2. Brandon Carr
  3. Morris Claiborne
  4. Robert Steeples
  5. Corey White

If 2012 first-round pick Morris Claiborne actually panned out the NFC East would be in serious trouble. Because he hasn’t though, Dallas is actively in the cornerback market.

There’s actually a plethora of holes on defense. This illustrates how dominant the Cowboys running and clock possession game was last season.

Most of the defensive line is questionable and Sean Lee actually returning to play football could only be viewed as a pleasant surprise at this point. Any position help on defense would be welcomed.

Still, the corner position represents that one game changing spot, for if you possess a shutdown guy it changes an entire gameplan. It is essentially the best way to mask and drastically improve a unit.

Darren McFadden working out at running back is another Jerry Jones pipe-dream. Although there are many who could run behind those beasts in the trenches, DMC staying healthy is a delusional hope.
