Terrence Ross could be a wild card for the Toronto Raptors as they hope to have a deep playoff run.

The Toronto Raptors were seemingly locked in at the number two spot in the Eastern Conference for most of the year, and it didn’t look like this last stretch of the regular season would mean much to them. However, things change quickly in the NBA, and the Raptors are now hoping to win-out with only seven games left because they are tied with the Chicago Bulls for the 3-seed. Although they have the same record, the Raptors will get the nod over the Bulls because they have won their division and the Bulls have not. But still, you don’t want to have your fate in the hands of a tiebreaker, and it would be nice for Toronto if they could finish the season strong to solidify their seeding.

They are doing their job tonight as they are beating the Brooklyn Nets who are also fighting to stay in the playoffs. Toronto came into the game with a sense of urgency, and that is shown here by this powerful dunk in transition from Ross.

No one is really talking about Ross, but he could be the wild card for the Raptors once the playoffs start. He had a couple of lousy months recently, but he got things together in April and had his best month in a long time. In April, Ross averaged 10.2 points on 44 percent shooting while playing 27 minutes per game.
