The Masters: Tiger Woods amazing shot at 7th hole (Video)
Tiger Woods hit an amazing shot at the seventh hole at Augusta National Thursday from in the trees just after having a small meltdown at the sixth.
Tiger Woods started the first round of the Masters on Thursday with an opening hole bogey after a bad three putt. He made up for it with a great birdie on the par five second hole, but gave the stroke back on the fourth hole after an errant bunker shot.

Sitting at 1-over par and six back of the lead, Tiger Woods found himself on the tee box on top of the hill of the 180 yard par three sixth hole. Tiger hit a shot that he didn’t like one bit and he dropped his club out of his hand, something Tiger is well-known for doing after a bad shot.
He did, however, get a lucky break The shot only ended up just off the right side of the green and only eight yards from the pin. Woods was able to go up and down and par the hole to stay at 1-over par, so he really didn’t need to react the way he did.
But, this isn’t the only time Tiger has overreacted at Augusta National after a bad shot. In 2012, Woods literally dropkicked his club on the 16th hole par three.
And back in 2010, he had a hilarious reaction on the same sixth hole that he struggled with on Thursday:
If you listen, you can hear Woods say, “TIGER WOODS, YOU SSSSSSSUCK!” followed by an expletive. It’s one of my favorite Tiger meltdowns of all time.
After he made par on the sixth hole, trouble looked like it was going to continue for Tiger after he hit a drive into the trees off the tee on the seventh hole. He had no fear on his second shot, however, and Tiger pulled a vintage shot when he pushed it between the trees and got it to hold on the green just 21 feet below the hole.

Tiger has dealt with numerous back problems throughout the last few years of his career and he swung so hard on this shot that the club actually hit him in the back. That made us a bit nervous that he could’ve injured himself, but he hasn’t shown any signs that he’s having back problems so far in his round.
After making the miraculous shot, Tiger went on to par the hole after he left the 21-foot putt short of the hole and he remained at 1-over par. The next hole however, Tiger was able to make birdie and at the time of this posting sits at even through eight holes.
Tiger comes in to the Masters ranked 111th in the world after a rough 2014 plagued by injury as well as a bad start to his 2015 season after he was cut from the Phoenix Open and then withdrew from the Farmers Insurance Open. This was followed by an extended leave of absence from golf until his game was tournament ready and now he’ll try to win his first major tournament since 2008 when he won his 14th.
