The Miami Dolphins are looking to add another playmaker on the offensive side of the ball, and could trade into the top 10.

The NFL Draft is just around the corner and it appears that the Miami Dolphins could be players when it comes to moving up in the order. Last season, the Buffalo Bills came storming out of nowhere to trade up and draft wide receiver Sammy Watkins and we could see the same thing out of the Dolphins in a few weeks.

According to Rob Rang of CBSSports.com, the Miami Dolphins could be eying a trade into the Top 10 to possibly draft Kevin White to bolster their receiving corps.

"The Dolphins appear to be targeting another playmaking wide receiver with West Virginia’s Kevin White ranking highest on their board, sources suggest. If it happens, Miami’s trade could mimic a similar move as the one division rival Buffalo completed a year ago, jumping up to No. 4 overall to land Sammy Watkins."

Another target for the Dolphins could be Alabama wide receiver Amari Cooper, who was a Heisman finalist and is widely regarded as being one of the best prospects in the draft. It’s a debate between Cooper and White for the best receiver in the draft and Miami clearly wants one of them.

Ryan Tannehill is in a critical season of his development and needs to be surrounded with the weapons that can help him succeed. There was an emphasis on making that happen this offseason when the team traded away troubled wide receiver Mike Wallace to Minnesota and brought in Kenny Stills from New Orleans.

Those two trades don’t instantly change the offense but it opens the door to it. Stills is an instant impact player for the Dolphins and the fifth-round pick that Miami received from the Vikings could be used in this rumored trade into the Top 10 to grab Kevin White.

Pairing Kevin White and Kenny Stills as top threats for Tannehill gives him tools he needs to succeed but doesn’t guarantee that it will happen. It all comes down to how well the Dolphins’ quarterback is prepared for the most important season of his life. He needs to step up and prove that he not only has the talent to lead but the right mind set and proper set of decision making skills as well.

It’s going to be an interesting season for the Dolphins, but the tools are there for Tannehill to break out, and adding Kevin White to the mix makes too much sense for it not to happen.
