Milwaukee Bucks unveil new logo, even worse than current one

The Milwaukee Bucks unveiled a new logo, and it might be worse than the last one.

With the Army teams unveiling new uniforms and logos, it looks like changing things up is the theme of the day. The Milwaukee Bucks followed suit by unveiling a new logo for their team.

And it is rather hideous.

Their current, soon to be former logo features a triangle in the background but they’ve tried to go with an incomplete circle background this time. The circle doesn’t connect between the antlers, a little aesthetic detail that bothers me but probably nobody else.

The other notable change is the detail in the face of the deer. The current logo has more detail in the deer’s neck and the deer’s face, including some lines. The new one features a more modern flat and angular design.

The font they use looks cool as all get out though, something like you’d see on some old sweaters… hockey sweaters. Which I’m still ok with, but I think a buck more along lines of what they had in their current logo would be better suited for the font.

You can’t go modern in the image and old school in the font, it just clashes.

It also looks like there will be a somewhat new color scheme going forward. The new logo has no red, and is a great and yellowish-gold that is somewhat reminiscent of LeBron James’ St. Vincent-St. Mary jerseys.

Here is the logo as the Bucks describe it:

I don’t know why they chose to focus on the way the Buck was facing in the logo, it is the same direction as before. If that is all they can say about it, that is bizarre.

At least they unveiled it in cool fashion with speed painters, though they used three to keep the audience off guard. Maybe it was so the fans would see the other options and realize this one was the lesser of three evils?

One of the other logos is actually a secondary option.

They also had this.

At least they have one of the best mascots in the league, just make him the logo.
