The trailer for the sequel to Joe Dirt has been released.

If you ever watched Comedy Central back in the early 2000’s you would have become very familiar with a movie about a certain loveable redneck and his mullet.

Despite the 2001 comedy Joe Dirt being universally panned upon release, the film garnered a cult following when it hit the small screen and on DVD releases. The David Spade adventure comedy followed the story of white trash hero Joe Dirt as he tried to find his birth parents.

Dirt is back though and hopefully funnier than ever. Ever since David Spade announced that the sequel to the film was in production during his reddit AMA last year, many fans have been eagerly anticipating the trailer drop. Well, it finally has and you can check it out below.

As of now, the trailer looks promising, with many old characters coming back in a big way. And it seems like a few of them are better off than ever. Kickin’ Wing has presumably seen his firework business take off in bold new heights, and Christopher Walken’s mysterious character with the mafia ties seems to be back in his old ways. No word as of now as to what happened to Buffalo Bob and his creepy shenanigans, but one can only hope he’ll show up in the film as well.

Perhaps the most surprising thing about the trailer is the fact that the movie is being released on Crackle as opposed to theaters. Crackle is a little known movie and television streaming service that seems to be the poor man’s Hulu/Netflix.

Maybe this is just what they need to get on people’s radar though?

Joe Dirt 2: Beautiful Loser drops this summer.
