The NFL schedules for the 2015 season were released on Tuesday for all teams, one of which was the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The Jaguars finished with the 3rd worst record in the league last season with a 3-13 record. Now the team has the 3rd overall selection in the NFL Draft. We will find out what impact player they add onto the roster to help this team move in the right direction. Many experts believe that the Jaguars will add Leonard Williams to the roster to help build up that defense for Gus Bradley.
Last season, the Jaguars added Blake Bortles through the draft with the 3rd overall pick and he is expected to become the franchise quarterback. He started 14 games for the team last season and will need to make some big steps this season for the Jaguars to compete in the South. The team added TE Julius Thomas in the offseason and he will be a nice target for Bortles to lean on throughout the year. Thomas will be a big-time outlet for him on offense and should open up the other young receivers on the roster.
The Jaguars are young and will have to face the Houston Texans and the Indianapolis Colts twice per season. It will be a long road to catch up to those two teams, but there are some young pieces in place for this team to make some progression. It will all depend on how well Bortles is able to produce. Bortles has a young group of players that can make an impact and the team should find more wins in the 2015 season.
