AL West. Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. 9. player. 102. . 2nd

They don’t have the most exciting group of relievers, but as a unit the Los Angeles Angels bullpen has a 2.45 ERA and 45 strikeouts in 44 innings this season and have allowed opponents just a .208 batting average, which is nearly 20 points lower than the American League average.

It’s an extremely small sample size, but Angels closer Huston Street has been perfect in his first four appearances in 2015. The 31-year old right-hander has faced 12 hitters and retired them all, six by strikeout, and collected a save each time in each outing.

He’s sure to allow a base runner at some point, but probably not many runs. In four of the past five seasons, Street has had an ERA of 1.85 or better.

Side-armer Joe Smith has also kept teams off the scoreboard in four games and continues to be one of the most reliable middle relievers in the Majors. Mike Morin and Fernando Salas are solid right-handed middle relievers and Vinnie Pestano is an intriguing option late-inning option that has yet to allow a run in 5.2 innings.

Cesar Ramos is off to a great start as a left-handed specialist – he’s yet to allow a run and has surrendered only three hits in four innings across six appearances. Fellow lefty Jose Alvarez has a high 5.40 ERA, but has held opponents to a .167 BAA and has a 0.84 WHIP. The club recently added prospect Cam Bedrosian to the mix as well.
