Andres Romero takes a tumble (Video)

Andres Romero takes a Tumble at CONCACAF Champions League final.
There are a lot of ways to become a household name, garner recognition and leave a lasting impression in sports. You can throw the game-winning touchdown, score a last second jumper, or hit a record-setting number of home runs.
Falling down in an especially awkward way in a championship game is another.
On Wednesday night in the CONCACAF Champions League final, Montreal Impact forward Andres Romero took what is known affectionately in the sports world as a “tumble.”
Many theories have come forth to try and explain the seemingly inexplicable fall. Some say it is a result of the fabled grass goblins; a small species of trolls that grabs the shoe laces of professional athletes and bask in the warm glow of their embarrassment. Others point to a mechanical failure of Romero’s steam powered robotic legs that seized up due to a lack of vital Gatorade brand fuel. My favorite current hypothesizes is that a slight shift in the gravitational pull of the earth, in only that particular spot on the earth, is the real culprit. Still, none of these explanations really seem to capture every angle of the fall and we may need to see a full scale investigation if we ever want to know the truth.
The game between Montreal and Club America ended in a tie, 1-1. While not a win, Romero and the rest of the impact seek to become the first non-Mexican winner of the CONCACAF tournament since Costa Rica’s Saprissa in 2005.
