More bang for your buck

Is Mayweather vs Pacquiao going to be a great fight? Most likely

Is it going to be worth the ridiculous $100 that Showtime is charging you to watch the bout via pay-per-view? Probably not.

Have no fear, however. Do you know why? You can watch the most exciting sporting event of the night for free. That is correct, you can opt to watch some of the best basketball we will see in this year’s NBA playoffs instead, and keep a c-note in your pocket all at the same time.

In addition to refusing to give into the absurd price tag that Floyd “Money” Mayweather and Bob Arum drove up on us, you are getting such a better value.

Sure, Mayweather and Pacquiao are bitter rivals, and the tensions are finally coming to a climax tomorrow night. They are also the best in the business, and quite possibly the sport of boxing’s last hope.

It is also going to be nowhere near as exciting as a back and forth game between the Clippers and the Spurs, two teams that employ completely different yet extremely successful styles of play that makes for great basketball.

I could be completely wrong, and the fight could turn into a slugfest, but every Mayweather fight I have seen makes me think that he is going to dance around for the majority of the 12 rounds and take this fight to a decision, which has clearly been successful for him.

Hopefully I am wrong, but I doubt it, unless Pacquiao can manage to catch him for a knockout blow in an earlier round.
