25. New Orleans Saints–Laquon Treadwell, WR, Ole Miss

After wisely eschewing wide receiver in this year’s draft (at least early), the New Orleans Saints discover they do in fact need another playmaker. They take the somewhat local kid Laquon Treadwell, who played at Ole Miss and tore up the SEC before that fateful knee-buckle at the end of the game against Auburn last season.

Treadwell, as a bigger receiver, pairs nicely with Brandin Cooks.

26. Arizona Cardinals–Jordan Jenkins, OLB, Georgia

The brother of Jonathan Jenkins, Jordan, somehow falls into the lap of the Arizona Cardinals–a team well-built but always searching that dominant pass-rusher. Jenkins may be that guy, and an absolute steal at 26 overall.

27. Baltimore Ravens–Jalen Mills, S, LSU

When in doubt the Baltimore Ravens–in part because they’re always picking late in the first-round–go best player available. In this scenario they are afforded the opportunity to also fill a need. Mills is a young star in the making but gets overshadowed by flashier safeties.

He also may struggle a bit next season in Baton Rouge simply because the Tigers will be playing under a new defensive coordinator.

28. Kansas City Chiefs–Jeremy Johnson, QB, Auburn

The Chiefs might just shock the world and go quarterback, despite having Alex Smith, a guy they really like. But they realize Smith won’t last forever, and the chance to add a kid with this much potential who could become a playmaker, is simply too good to pass up.
