NBA Playoffs 2015: 10 reasons Cavaliers will beat Bulls
By Josh Hill
LeBron James and Kyrie Irving Will Always Be Best Players On Floor
No matter who is out for the Cavaliers and who is going to be on the floor for Chicago, the fact will remain that Cleveland has the best two players on the court at all times. Kyrie Irving is going to try and use this series to elevate himself to another level of stardom and do it at the expense of Derrick Rose.
LeBron James is the best basketball player on the planet — and therefore needs no introduction.
Think about the times the Bulls and Heat played in years past, specifically the 2011 Conference Finals. When Rose started going off, LeBron had to swap out Wade with himself in defensive alignments and guard Derrick Rose. There was no one on that Miami roster to guard Rose which could have left the Heat exposed — and did, at times. But with Kyrie Irving being more than capable of guarding Rose, that leaves LeBron James open to stop Nikola Mitotic or matchup against Pau Gasol in the absence of Kevin Love.
Offensively, the duo could be good for well over 50 points a game between the two of them, and their production will be hard for Chicago to stop.
Kyrie and LeBron are the two best players in this series, and Chicago will need to do more than simply have big men lockdown the paint to win.
Bulls Response: Kyrie Irving and LeBron James are hands down the best two players in the series. That’s a given. But no matter how good these guys play, the Cavs just simply do not have the supporting cast to push them past the Bulls. Even if LeBron and Kyrie put up 60 and outscore the Bulls two best by 15 points, the Bulls role players will still outscore the rest of the Cavs team by twice that. LeBron just doesn’t have the guys to back him up like he did with Miami. Especially against a team as deep as the Bulls.
