When Chicago is at Full Strength, They’re Unbeatable

The most satisfying and also gut wrenching statistic for Bulls fans this year is that when Rose, Butler, Dunleavy, Gasol, and Noah are in the lineup, the Bulls were 15-4 in the regular season. It is satisfying to know that when healthy, your team could be the best in the NBA. At the same time, it’s pretty sad to think what the Bulls could have been if they had avoided nagging injuries all year.

The good news is that the Bulls are at full strength now. And that getting past Milwaukee was only the warm up for the real series that lies ahead. The Cavs have taken 3 of 4 games from the Bulls this season.

Only one of those games Chicago had their starting five healthy and playing. The five veterans, who will finally get a crack at playing the Cavs after three match ups in a row where they were down at least one starter, will get to prove why they are the better team. Why their chemistry and determination will beat out anything the Cavs can throw at them.

Like I said, if the Bulls are healthy, they are the best team in the NBA. They would have rivaled the Golden State Warriors for the best record, and cruised to the no. 1 seed in the East. The series against the Cavs will be the final test to see if they can finally put it all together after waiting all this time to be healthy at the same point in time. I have a feeling it is going to work out in their favor.

Cavaliers Response: The Chicago Bulls are very beatable at full strength. Sure, they won 15 games, but they also lost four — coincidentally the same amount of games you need to lose to get eliminated in a series. Cleveland won’t sweep the Bulls or vice versa, as this series is going at least six games and the Chicago lineup has a lot to do with that. But the Bulls aren’t invincible, as they lost to the Milwaukee Bucks twice already and Cleveland has seen where this unstoppable lineup is exposed. Read more reasons why Cavaliers will beat the Bulls here.
