Andrew McCutchen has been struggling at the plate this season and will do anything to fix that.

Andrew McCutchen is one of the most recognizable and feared stars in Major League Baseball today. After all, the Pittsburgh Pirates centerfielder did win the National League MVP just two seasons ago and put up similar stats to that MVP season last year as well.

However, McCutchen has been up against it to start this year. He hit just .194 in the month of April, hitting just two home runs and driving in just 13 runs to go along with 15 strikeouts in 72 at-bats. Despite performing slightly better to start the month of May, McCutchen is trying anything to get back to MVP form. Anything apparently includes exercising demons from bad at-bats:

How many Hail Marys does it take to get the demons of a lineout to shot away from you? Apparently McCutchen is willing to find out.

McCutchen went 1-3 with a double in the game against the St. Louis Cardinals, also reaching on a walk as well. He’s hitting .275 for the month of May to this point, but with no homers and just one RBI for the month. We’ll have to see if he can make the demons go away to the point that he’s back performing like an MVP once again.
