3 Starting Pitcher Sleepers

1. Colby Lewis-Texas Rangers: In his last two starts, Lewis has allowed a total of one run on eight hits while walking three and striking out 14 batters in 14 innings.  He has lowered his ERA to 2.61 while evening his record to 2-2.  Tonight, he takes on a tough task as the Royals come to town, but he’s been solid at home historically and should have a solid shot at a win as he opposes the struggling Danny Duffy. Coming in to tonight’s start, Lewis is only owned in 21% of ESPN leagues.

2. Wily Peralta-Milwaukee Brewers: Peralta’s ERA and record are not good, but I still think he can help you out tonight despite being owned in only 4% of ESPN leagues.  He takes on the White Sox tonight looking to turn in his fourth straight quality start.  He allowed just two earned runs in eight innings in his last start finally earning his first win of the season.  He lowered his ERA to 3.92, but most of that damage comes from two starts in mid-April.  This month, he has a 1.93 ERA and is definitely trending the right way.  At home tonight against the White Sox, done overlook Peralta in your search for fantasy baseball starting pitchers.

3. Alex Colome-Tampa Bay Rays: Colome is 2-0 in his two starts this season allowing two runs in his ten MLB innings.  He hasn’t gotten into the sixth inning yet as the Rays gradually stretch him out, but with Alex Cobb gone for the year Colome will definitely be an option to watch since Tampa will need more from him.  Tonight will be Colome’s first home start of the season, and I think he’ll get to 3-0 by besting Sabathia and the Yankees.
