SF. Louisville. Sam Dekker. 15. player. 125. Atlanta is celebrating acquiring the Brooklyn Nets first round draft pick for 2015 this year, as they would have landed at no. 29 overall had they had not made a deal. With this pick , the Atlanta Hawks will need some help moving forward to complement their stellar team play they are so used to. Sam Dekker will be that guy.
Making the transition from Wisconsin, where the scoring was shared and the team played much like the Hawks do now, will be easy for Dekker. The biggest upside the Hawks can get out of Dekker is he can fill just about any role. If they need a spot up shooter, slasher, or defender and rebounder, Dekker can do it all. At 6’9, Dekker is big enough and quick enough to do just about anything at the next level, which fits in with the Hawks style of play quite well.
