Kentucky. Karl-Anthony Towns. 1. player. 86. The Minnesota Timberwolves could be one of the scariest teams in the NBA in the next five years. The young talent they have acquired from the NBA Draft and the Cleveland Cavaliers via a trade for Kevin Love has people chattering about how good they could be. Andrew Wiggins, Zach LaVine, Ricky Rubio, Adreian Payne, and much, much more make the Timberwolves one of the best up and coming teams in the NBA.
Some even more good news for the Timberwolves is they aren’t even close to being done acquiring young talent. Because the way their roster is shaping up, it looks like they could use a dominant big man to compliment the play of Ricky Rubio and Kevin Martin. Karl-Anthony Towns would fill that role immediately. His 6’11, 250 pound frame is big enough to bang bodies with the best of the best in the NBA under the basket. But more than that, he has a giant wing span (7 foor 3 inches), and has the ability to score much like Demarcus Cousins did when he left Kentucky for the Sacramento Kings.

The Timberwolves would be foolish to take anyone else but Towns. His upside is greater than any other big guy in the NBA because of his athleticism and skill set. His coordination and size are two things that are rare among big guys in the NBA. So in the coming years, be on the look out for the Timberwolves if they end up acquiring this big man.
. C/PF
