Seattle Seahawks at Green Bay Packers, Week 2 (SNF)

When we last saw these two teams on the field together, the Green Bay Packers were suffering from a late collapse against the Seattle Seahawks. You have to know that, especially this early in the season when the memory is still fresh in their minds.

The Packers went back and added some talent to the defense, which is what folded for the most part at the end of the loss last season. Meanwhile, they locked down Randall Cobb to keep the offense intact.

Meanwhile the Seahawks added a receiver in the 2015 NFL Draft, Tyler Lockett. Lockett can return kicks and punts as well as line up anywhere. They also traded for a guy named Jimmy Graham, who should help quarterback Russell Wilson keep the passing game effective.

These two teams don’t like each other much, which adds to the heat on this game.  There’s bad blood between these teams, especially since 2012and the ‘Fail Mary’ catch. The Seahawks have been a pretty consistent thorn in Green Bay’s side over the last decade or so, and when these two teams meet, you know you’re going to get a good game.

While this game might seem too early to have an impact on the season or playoff seeding, but that’s what many thought about the 2012 game and it ended up costing the Packers the second seed in the NFC and made them play in the Wild Card Round.

This game could have just as many implications for both teams. So not only will you get two teams who desperately want to win playing, you have two teams for whom a loss can come back and bite them in the end of the season.
