Buffalo Bills at New York Jets, Week 10 (TNF)

This game could turn out to be a real dud, but if both of these teams are at least competitive by Week 10, there should be a lot of drama around it.

Of course, you start out with Rex Ryan, current Buffalo Bills coach and former New York Jets coach. We know Ryan well by now and you can imagine that the week leading up to this game against his old franchise will give him ample opportunity to fire up his guys with some juicy quotes.

With Ryan though, you also have the danger that he fires up the other team. There are a lot of guys on the Jets who like Ryan, but if he goes overboard – as he is wont to do – even his most strident supporters on his old team will put a little extra something into beating him.

We also have the chance to watch two teams who could look very similar this season. The Jets and Bills both have very good (perhaps top five in the NFL) defenses if everyone is healthy and playing to the best of their ability. They have good running backs (for the Bills, one great running back), good receivers and one giant question mark at quarterback.

EJ Manuel and Geno Smith both were taken during the 2013 NFL Draft but neither has played all that well since. Both have veterans who were brought in to push them (Ryan Fitzpatrick for the Jets, Matt Cassel for the Bills) or take their job outright. Both have plenty of weapons.

Both are out of excuses.

The Bills and Jets could both compete for the division, if they can straighten out their quarterback issues. This game will have a lot of weight in that division race, or perhaps a shot at a Wild Card.
