There was one reporter that left Nerlens Noel off the NBA All-Rookie Team ballot for a really ridiculous reason

The NBA All-Rookie teams were announced on Monday, and one of the names that appeared on the First Team was that of Philadelphia 76ers center Nerlens Noel. After missing last year with an injury, Noel burst onto the scene this season like we all thought he would, averaging 9.9 points and 8.1 rebounds.

Now while Noel had an outstanding first full season in the league, as we know, the 76ers did not have the best time this past regular season. Philadelphia is once again in the NBA Lottery mix after finishing the regular season at 18-64.

Just because the 76ers had a bad season as a whole is no reason to completely ignore the performance of one of the top rookies in the game, right? Well, one voter seemed to think that is how it works.

The “Voice of the Atlanta Hawks,” Steve Holman, left Noel off of his ballot completely, in what was a very head-scratching move. Well one person on Twitter just felt the need to see why this was done, and this was the response that he got…

If this is the way that things are done going forward in regards to individual awards, then we’re going to have some issues.

Hurry up, someone strip the Rookie of the Year awards from Andrew Wiggins RIGHT NOW!
