2. Randy Gregory, No. 60 Overall, Dallas Cowboys

Dallas Cowboys owner and decision maker, Jerry Jones, is no stranger to controversial decisions.

For many years now, he’s brought in guys who’ve had checkered pasts, while never apologizing along the way.

How about the early 1990s dynasty? Nate Newton and Michael Irvin are just two examples.

In recent times – as recent as this past offseason – Jones has decided to make waves yet again. The signing of much maligned Greg Hardy was that wave.

However, as soon as Hardy was signed, is as soon as he was disciplined for the first 10-games of the season.

Does that deter Jones from marching on? Of course not.

Similar to a terrible horror movie for which you know the ending to, with their second-round draft choice, the Cowboys selected Nebraska’s way-too-often troubled Randy Gregory.

Once considered the top talent in the draft, Gregory has had his share of issues off the field.

The kid failed a drug test at the NFL Combine. For many, this is the “idiot test.” Yes, Dallas is hoping to capitalize on such a valued spot for Gregory, but to use a precious second-rounder on a guy who could care less about the combine drug test is a bit worrisome.

While the idea of Gregory going to the Cowboys isn’t surprising, the fact that it is becoming too much to take has to enter our minds.

La’el Collins, an offensive lineman who was projected to go in the first-round prior to him being involved in a murder case, is also now one of the newest Cowboys.

For all we know, Collins is as clean as a baby’s body. He has no direct responsibility with the case. But due to the unfortunate circumstances, he is now in the mix and took a major financial hit because of it.

It’s shocking, even for Jones, to go this far with collecting players who’ve had issues off the field.
