New York Daily News trolls Knicks over No. 4 pick (Photo)

The New York Knicks lost big in the NBA Draft Lottery, drawing the No. 4 pick and an endless string of trolls form the local media.
The New York Knicks were hoping that conspiracy theories would see them end up with the No. 1 pick in the draft. But the ping pong balls of the NBA Draft Lottery have no East Coast bias — at least, that’s not what the end result of this year’s lottery was.
After having the second best odds in the NBA Draft Lottery and still ending up on the outskirts of the Top 5, the Knicks are starting to get trolled in what could be a brutal summer in the city.
This is to be expected, and it’s coming form a place of pain for Knicks fans working at the Daily News. It was a season of suck for the Knicks, and it all resulted in the fourth pick in the draft despite having the second worst record in the league and the worst record in franchise history.
The headline is simply brutally honest, which is why it stings so badly. The Knicks were looking ahead to the offseason in the second week of the season, and it was the promised land in which all things would be fixed and all problems would be solved.
Instead, the Knicks now have a barely valuable draft pick to barter with, and are out of the running for their top two targets — Kahlil Okafor and Karl Anthony-Towns. They could still end up with D’Angelo Russell — whom Phil Jackson nearly tampered with for complimenting — as well as Justice Winslow or Emmanuel Mudiay.
This isn’t the first time the New York Daily News has trolled the Knicks and it’s not the last time this summer it will likely happen.
