7. Brandon Belt-1B-San Francisco Giants: The Rockies send Chad Bettis to the mound at Coors Field today as they try to pick up a second straight win after taking the nightcap of yesterday’s double-header.  One Giants batter that Bettis has yet to figure out is Brandon Belt.  Belt has never been retired by Bettis going 5-5 (1.000) with a double and a walk in their previous meetings. While he may not stay perfect, he’s a nice value option at 1B for today.

6. Victor Martinez-DH-Detroit Tigers: Martinez is the first of three Tigers on this list as they take on Roberto Hernandez and the Astros.  Many of Detroit’s hitters have a good record dating back to his days as Fausto Carmona in Cleveland including V-Mart who is 6-15 (.400) with three doubles, four RBI, and a home run against Hernandez in his career.

5. Adrian Gonzalez-1B-Los Angeles Dodgers: As the Dodgers and Padres wrap up their series in LA, the Dodgers go for the sweep as the face James Shields.  One batter who should be happy to see Shields is Adrian Gonzalez who has gone 10-28 (.385) with a pair of home runs off the righty dating back to their former days in the AL East.

4. Rajai Davis-OF-Detroit Tigers: Davis is another Tiger who has enjoyed success against Roberto Hernandez in the past.  He has not hit a homer off the Astros’ starter but he is 9-21 (.429) in his career against him with a pair of doubles and three RBI.
