Emilio Estevez, the actor who played coach Gordon Bombay in the Mighty Ducks, wanted the Anaheim Ducks to use the “Flying V.”

Emilio Estevez wished the Anaheim Ducks good luck ahead of Game 5 of the Western Conference Finals on Monday night. For people in their late 20s and early 30s it was a clashing of their childhood with adulthood as Gordon Bombay of the Mighty Ducks wished the Ducks good luck before a big game.

That wasn’t all, Estevez also live tweeted the game. During his live tweets he called for the Ducks to bust out the Flying V to win in overtime.

They didn’t use the Flying V but they did win 45 seconds into overtime, so I’m still notching this one up as a noter Gordon Bombay pep talk turned into big comeback. After the game he acted more like his brother Charlie Sheen hurling bizarre insults at the Chicago Blackhawks and their fans, calling them windbags.

Seriously?

Anyways, it was still pretty awesome to see Gordon Bombay live tweeting the game.

Which included some notable things from the movies, like quacking uncontrollable.
