Inside Linebacker (2)

Last year: Luke Kuechly, Bobby Wagner, C.J. Mosley, DeAndre Levy, Lawrence Timmons

First team: Luke Kuechly, C.J. Mosley
Second team: Bobby Wagner, Eric Kendricks

Nothing too shocking here, except for the rookie on the second team. Kuechly is all but guaranteed one of the top spots while Mosley is a rising star in Baltimore. Wagner remains a key component for the Seattle Seahawks. Kendricks has elite instincts and has the speed to cover and stuff the run. Look for him to break out.

Cornerbacks (2)

Last year: Darrelle Revis, Richard Sherman, Chris Harris Jr., Brent Grimes

First team: Richard Sherman, Vontae Davis
Second team: Darrelle Revis, Sean Smith

Sherman is the preeminent corner in the game and should continue to be in 2015. Davis has been one of the most overlooked corners by the national media in recent years, but he can really play. The Indianapolis Colts would be lost defensively without him. Revis continues his march to Canton with another stellar year, while Smith breaks through and gets on the list. Last year, Smith starred for Kansas City, not committing a single penalty.

Safeties (2)

Last year: Earl Thomas, Eric Weddle, Kam Chancellor, Glover Quin

First team: Earl Thomas, Kam Chancellor
Second team: Devin McCourty, Eric Weddle

Thomas has the best closing speed of any secondary player, helping to shrink the field for Seattle’s defense. Chancellor is the perfect compliment to Thomas, coming down into the box while also lowering the boom on would-be receivers. McCourty has turned into a quality safety, while Weddle is the lone difference-maker on the San Diego Chargers defense.
