3. Jose Tabata-OF-Pittsburgh Pirates: On the other side of the Brewers-Pirates matchup from Ryan Bruan tonight are a pair of good outfield options. Number three on our list is Jose Tabata who is 15-36 (.417) in his career against Milwaukee’s Kyle Lohse including a pair of doubles, a triple, a home run, and five RBI.

2. Andrew McCutchen-OF-Pittsburgh Pirates: Tabata’s fellow-outfielder Andrew McCutchen has a slightly lower average but better power numbers against Lohse. Cutch is 14-45 (.311) against Lohse with three doubles, three home runs, and an impressive 11 RBI.

1. Dustin Pedroia-2B-Boston Red Sox: The top option for today’s batter vs pitcher matchups is the red hot Dustin Pedroia who has moved to the top of the Red Sox lineup and been tearing the cover off the ball.  Pedroia should be able to keep it up today against Wei-Yin Chen  who he has gone 15-32 (.469) against in the past with five doubles, a triple, and five RBI.
