MLB: Major League Baseball uniform power rankings
- Home Cap: 4th
- Home Jersey: 3rd
- Road Cap: 4th
- Road Jersey: 1st
The Good: To this point, I’ve written 29 different versions of “The Good,” and on several occasions used some form of “It doesn’t get much better…” when describing one of the many terrific Major League caps, jerseys or overall uniform combinations, however, for this one I must simply say it doesn’t get any better than the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Since the Brooklyn Dodgers headed west prior to the 1958 season, the franchises’ uniform – and specifically the beautiful home whites with blue lettering and red numbers on the front – has been largely untouched. There have been some minor tweaks along the way, but the standard uniform the Dodgers wear at home today looks every bit as good as it did 57 years ago.
As for the road uniform, the Dodgers actually have two sets: one that says “Los Angeles” and an alternate introduced in 2014 that says “Dodgers” (which the team wore primarily from 1970-98. Both are great, complete with the interlocking LA on the left sleeve in the same style as the one they club has donned on it’s cap since ’58 and has largely (rightfully) left alone.
The Bad: Nothing. Everyone looks great in Dodger blue, which is why the Los Angeles Dodgers rank at the top of our MLB uniform power rankings.
