3. Howie Kendrick-2B-Los Angeles Dodgers: LA has had its road issues this season, but they are still ten games over .500 and sitting atop the NL West.  They’ll look to take the rubber game of their three-game set tonight as they take on the undefeated James Shields.  One hitter who thrives against Shields is Dodger second-basemen Howie Kendrick who is 16-32 (.500) against Shields in his career with four doubles, two triples, a home run, and three RBI.

2. Michael Brantley-OF-Cleveland Indians: The Tribe and Tigers wrap up their three game set this afternoon in one of the more interesting early games.  Detroit sends Alfredo Simon to the mound which sets up for Brantley to have a good game since he is 10-15 (.667) with four doubles and seven RBI against Simon in the past.

1. Miguel Cabrera-1B-Detroit Tigers: Cabrera is always a pricey fantasy option, but he’s enough of a  big-time producer that he is often worth his expensive price.  Even in today’s matchup against Corey Kluber he comes in with good enough numbers to earn him the top spot in my rankings. Against the reigning AL Cy Young, Cabrera is 18-33 (.545) in his career with two doubles, four homers, and nine RBI.
