Re-sign Tristan Thompson
One of the surprise stars for the Cavs in the postseason ended up being Tristan Thompson. It was unclear if Thompson would even have a big role on the roster this season given the addition of Kevin Love, as that move guaranteed he wouldn’t be a starter.
However Love missed all but three games in the postseason, playing mere minutes of a fourth game before having his arm ripped out of it’s socket and ending his season. Tristan Thompson more than stepped up to the plate in the playoffs and secured himself a hefty contract this summer. That contract needs to come from the Cavaliers, as he’s a young star the team must have alongside LeBron in the frontcourt.
Everything is better with Thompson on the court, and his upside was fully revealed in the postseason. If the Cavs can get him under contract and he can grow next to LeBron, it might form a dynamic duo we never expected to see.
